Hangovers and Empanadas

What an insane couple of days! I haven't been able to post because I've been running around so much I almost missed my bus up to Iguazu Falls. Saturday night we hit the bars in Palermo, leaving at about 130am. We drank at a pool hall then went to a bar called Amerika, which is a gay bar but also had a lot of straight men and couples. It was a lot of fun. 100 pesos and all you can drink. Needless to say, I tried to get my money's worth.

They stopped serving drinks at about 5am, so I insisted to my less-than-sober friends that we should head out. We caught a cab and drove back with the sun rising, and I finally got to bed at about 6am.

Fast forward 3.5 hours and I'm late for 10am hostel checkout because my stuff is strewn everywhere and I need a shower. After a bit of a scramble I was ready to hit the San Telmo market. How incredible! So much shopping, and it went on for miles! Unfortunately we spent a bit tooo much time enjoying the market and street corner empanadas, so we had to almost run back to the hostel. My new British friend Natalie and I were planning to bus to iguazu falls together, but Lara (Germany) and I missed her at the hostel. She had already headed out. Lara and I rushed around to gather our things, then called a cab (Lara was heading home but going to the same station).

I made it in time and found Natalie, and we had a great bus ride to the falls. I'm writing this from our new hostel, Mango Tree, where I've made my packs a bit more organized before we spend a full day at the falls hiking and swimming. There will be a ton of pictures tonight!

Oh and thanks be to cough syrup with codeine, I slept the whole night on the bus :)
