... A gentleman walked by me singing that today and I thought it sounded great with his accent. After lunch I walked my butt off. I visited some of the government buildings, the beautiful area down by the docks, a huge walking-only shopping area in the San Nicolas area, and myriad statues. I bought random snacks that I wasn't completely sure of at a Carrefour Express and took a picture of some drinks I thought looked rather unappetizing.
I snuck a couple of creeper pictures too... This city seems to be full of young couples snuggling in parks. I felt that observation needed proof (see below). The other creeper shot is blurry because I'm terrible at being covert and my flash went off. Oops. These people were putting money through a small hole in a garage door and I guess getting something back? Hmm...
I took a photo of the sidewalks because they're tile-ish and I think that's neat. Hey mom look! They have palm trees here :). They also have a very cool pedestrian bridge that I attempted to be abstract with :-P For anyone who misses home, TGIFridays! But I don't think I'll be going there...
And finally there are some pictures of the hostel... One is the outside door. It is next to a pizza place and very easy to miss. See if you can spot it (or recognize it if you've been here...Carrie). The others are of the old school elevator that only holds 3 people at a time. Smooth ride though.
Oh yeah, and I found a very creative use of Uncle Sam ;)
If I could, I would caption each picture, but i can't figure that out on this app. I did master the art of asking tourists to take my photo for me. Maybe that's not an art...
And now, for your viewing pleasure!

Looks gorgeous and like you're already off to a great start! :)
